While working for Shell Oil and BP, Odek was asked by international managers what to do while there on business. He discovered his expertise for creating wildlife and beach experiences for guests to his country. After realizing he could better control the quality of vehicles and guides, in 2002, he formally started Silver Africa Tours. For the last 20+ years, he and his wife, Caroline, have operated and grown Silver Africa Tours into a boutique, luxury DMC. Experts in all things Kenya, you will find the Silver Africa Tours team to be knowledgeable, efficient, professional, creative and passionate about creating bespoke experiences for guests.

JEBIHA FOUNDATION is the Silver Africa Tours & Safaris charity arm The vision is to change the future of a child through education. To achieve this goal, we offer bursaries to children from disadvantaged backgrounds from Grade 6 to high school and beyond. Our goal is to not only offer the financial assistance to pay fees, but to assist with the social and emotional aspect of the child’s life, offering guidance and mentorship. We are also closely involved in the progress of the child and receive regular feedback from the schools in this regard. Our hope is that together, through the involvement of our people, our suppliers and our customers, we can increase the awareness and the number of children through the foundation.

Personal Services
Clients are met at the airport by our representative and similarly seen off on departure. At the hotel, a knowledgeable host or hostess will assist with their check-in and safari briefing. The host or hostess will be available for them whenever they are in Nairobi to help with shopping or even packing.
Guides
The single most important aspect of travelling through any country is the quality of the guides. Their knowledge, experience and companionship can make any trip truly magical and incredibly enriching. Our driver-guides are full-time employees who know Kenya’s geography, national parks, history, and tribal laws of the land. With over 15 years of experience. They have also undergone safety driving courses and can navigate city streets as well as safari roads.

Conservation
